A NaNoWriMo Wager And A Dip: CeeLee’s Video Pain

Remember When I Made A Bet?

So I may be slow, I may be old, but I do honor all wagers made. I just didn’t know not to make a bet with a Duck. See my disgrace, laugh at my pain, but never make a bet you aren’t willing to lose with the guy above. Trust me!

I’ll fill in the details about it tomorrow. Oh yeah, by the way…did you miss me? πŸ˜‰

That’s my view on it, LOL
I may regain the feeling in my…toes
I hope I taught him the importance of keeping a bet
or even the importance of having a goal for fun still is cool.

I’ll be honest, after the year Duck and I’ve gone through,
My getting a chance to hear him laugh like that~
Is worth all the pain, embarrassment, and snickers I’m getting πŸ˜‰

  1. That is the cutest lost bet ever! I love Duck’s giggle as he collected on your promise, super cute! You taught him a lot about life, goals, and promises made to family, so in the end it was still a good experience in some ways.

I learned from my first attempt at NaNoWriMo, that it is just not for me. I did not make it as far as you, I washed out after the first few days. I do not think it is a bad thing, it just does not work for me. It would only work if I took some serious vacation time from work and teaching, and if I could change the way I work quite a bit.

Good luck on your writing goal anyway, I am sure you will get it done at perhaps a bit slower pace!

    1. Hi there and welcome to the Adult Pool
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave such a great comment too πŸ™‚

I’m glad you enjoyed our video experiment.
What can a Mom do when she’s opened her mouth and jammed both feet in, but to make good on her (rash, rash, I was delusional!) promise to her son?

Duck loved the whole process~ from the making the bet to his collecting on it-that’s for sure. LOL And if he learned something along the way, well then it was-still NOT worth it, the water was freezing and then the wind was worse and I-had almost as much fun as he did. πŸ™‚

I may be doing NaNoWriMo this year, true enough, but I’ve reached the same conclusion as you have, so I’m doing it without any bets this time. Duck wasn’t the only one who learned a thing or two πŸ˜‰

I love getting comments. It's as close to being famous as I'll ever get.
